How long has the WPF been around?
The WPF was founded in 2021 by USSSA, Smash It Sports and USA Softball. The league’s exhibition season took place in 2022 and its first official season begins in June of 2023.

How many teams are in the league?
There are currently FOUR teams in the WPF: USSSA Pride (Viera, Florida), Smash It Sports Vipers (Oxford, Alabama), Oklahoma City Spark (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) and Texas Smoke (Austin, Texas).

When does the WPF season start?
The 2023 WPF season begins with Spring Training on June 1, 2023 in all four team locations - Austin, Viera, Oxford and Oklahoma City. Opening Day is June 15, and championships will conclude on August 17.

How do players get into the league?
Players are selected and contacted by team General Managers. Athletes can also enter the player pool in our “More” tab - this will enter them into a player pool that GMs have access to 24/7 to help them build their rosters. The player pool does not guarantee a spot on the roster.
Players just be 18 and older to join the league.

How can I watch WPF games?
Check out the “Watch Live” button in the top right corner of our website. Regular season, playoffs and championship games are available to stream with the “Dugout Pass,” a pass that gives fans access to watch any series.
